Job Description

Pinnacle Health Care offers a finance leadership role with competitive pay, an annual performance bonus, and benefits that support your wellbeing and long-term stability. This is an in-person position in San Francisco, CA, supporting a home health and hospice organization across three branches. The role also includes convenient day-to-day touches like office coffee and snacks, plus access to electronic charting.

Responsibilities

  • Lead company-wide budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting.
  • Develop branch-level profit and loss (P&L) reports and analyze margin performance.
  • Build and maintain financial controls, approval processes, and cost-tracking systems.
  • Oversee core finance operations including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, reconciliations, and financial close.
  • Manage cash flow, support banking activities, and maintain relationships with lenders.
  • Review vendor agreements, insurance, and contracts to support operational and financial needs.
  • Partner with billing and clinical leaders to improve collections, reduce denials, and manage accounts receivable.
  • Oversee Medicare cost reporting and ensure financial compliance with Medicare, Medi-Cal, and state requirements.
  • Present financial results, forecasts, and recommendations directly to ownership.
  • Lead and develop the accounting team.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years in a senior finance role with direct responsibility for profit and loss and team management.
  • Experience building financial systems, reporting, and controls.
  • Strong financial modeling skills and advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP and experience with the financial close across multiple locations or entities.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • A valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation, or another reliable way to travel between branches.

Compensation

USD 150,000 - 180,000 per year.
