Job Description
Join Bank of America’s Merrill Advisor Development Program and build a durable book of business within Merrill Wealth Management. You will deliver tailored investment recommendations to high-net-worth clients and collaborate with Merrill advisory teams to support portfolio growth. This onsite opportunity in Seattle, WA offers a competitive salary and a clear pathway to professional growth through world-class training and mentoring.
Location: Seattle, WA (onsite) | Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per year | Education: Bachelor's degree | Experience: 1 year minimum

Responsibilities
- Handle inbound inquiries from leads regarding Merrill offerings
- Position the capabilities of Merrill and Bank of America
- Collect client profile data and follow standard KYC procedures to open accounts as appropriate
- Serve as interim Financial Advisor, recommending investments and services suitable for prospects and clients based on objectives, resources, time horizon, risk profile, and preferences
- Document all client interactions and opportunities within Salesforce accurately
- Develop a book of business to meet and exceed performance hurdles
- Prioritize sourcing prospective clients, capitalize on referrals, assess needs, refer to internal specialists, and execute highly customized solutions
- Recommend investment products and services aligned with client objectives, resources, time horizon, risk profile, and preferences
- Balance investment growth, referral activities, follow-up, prospecting, compliance, and personal development in day-to-day and long-term planning
- Organize and manage resources (time, people, budget) to run a productive practice
- Engage specialists when needed to identify planning and investment strategies for clients
- Complete mandated training, assessments, performance goals, and continuing education requirements
Requirements
- Currently holds Series 7 & 66 licenses (63 & 65 in lieu of 66)
- Minimum of one year experience in the financial services industry and/or a sales environment where goals were met or exceeded
- Minimum of one year experience in the investments industry, including investment training and knowledge of investment products and services
- Proven ability to engage with and influence others
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills; able to quickly build trust and credibility
- Proven ability to assess needs and recommend appropriate solutions
- Proven ability to work collaboratively on a team and with key partners
- Proven active listening and probing skills for clarity and understanding
- Goal- and results-oriented mindset
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proven ability to source clients through prospecting and networking
- Ability to operate in a compensation structure largely tied to performance
- Strong follow-through skills
- Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
