Job Description
The Manager of Finance at Texas Children's Hospital oversees financial operations and long-range planning for hospital facilities within a fast-paced healthcare environment in Katy, Texas. The role emphasizes strong internal controls, accurate reporting, policy implementation, and ongoing process improvements to sustain Financial health.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and financial direction support to the administration team and executive leadership for the department.
- Lead rigorous quantitative and qualitative analyses to forecast the financial impact of operational decisions on current and future service lines, including building financial models and proformas, data gathering and manipulation, and preparing summaries and presentations for the executive team.
- Contribute to strategy development and initiative prioritization related to management and delivery, with ongoing market assessment and competitive intelligence for local and select national programs.
- Assist in reviewing and preparing financial and statistical reports for budgeting, coordinating with the leadership team and partnering with departments to ensure timely reporting.
- Produce and oversee financial analysis and reporting to monitor daily, weekly, monthly and yearly progress across current and future service lines.
- Manage team members and activities by establishing performance guidelines, ensuring alignment with organizational and departmental goals, ensuring completion of work, and holding staff accountable while measuring customer satisfaction and providing benchmarking metrics.
- Plan, lead and direct additional strategic and financial analyses as directed by executive leadership.
- Provide outstanding customer service, foster strong relationships with executives, directors and leadership across the organization, identify and resolve issues promptly, and ensure clear and effective communication.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or healthcare is required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a strategic and/or financial planning environment within a large healthcare or consulting organization is required.
