Job Description

This onsite role provides financial analysis and operational support for RF SUNY at Binghamton University projects, with a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance and sponsor award administration. The position is based in Vestal, NY, with a salary of $52,500 annually and requires relocation to Vestal before start. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Responsibilities
- Learn and apply federal regulations, sponsor award terms, and BU/RF policies to effectively administer awards.
- Establish and maintain awards within the Oracle business system.
- Monitor award activity to ensure financial compliance, including allowable costs, re-budgeting, and reporting requirements.
- Review personnel appointments to confirm allowability with award terms and conditions.
- Track and report on cost share obligations as required.
- Monitor time and effort commitments and federal effort reporting requirements; coordinate timely effort reporting certification and provide training when needed.
- Coordinate the award closeout process within the assigned portfolio.
- Oversee subrecipient monitoring and payments.
- Respond to inquiries or requests related to financial management.
- Assist in preparing materials for audit inquiries for internal, sponsor, federal or state audits.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, campus partners, sponsors, and external stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited institution and two years of administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the essential functions.
- Ability to interpret and apply regulations, policies and procedures.
- Proficiency with basic office productivity tools, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and communications, with Microsoft Office or equivalent platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to work independently and contribute productively in a collaborative team environment.
- Attention to detail, critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to present information to diverse audiences.

Additional information
Salary: $52,500 annually. This position involves a combination of collaborative and independent work and will require onsite work 100 percent of the time. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Office setting, on-site in Vestal, NY 13850. Relocation to Vestal before starting is required. Work is conducted in person.
