Job Description

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Financial Analyst for an onsite role in Roy, Utah. The position supports the Special Program Portfolio within the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division, delivering financial analysis, planning, and cost management to guide program decisions in a defense-focused environment. This role emphasizes rigorous financial oversight and collaboration with cross-functional teams to sustain critical programs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis on rates of return, investments, and financial and expense comparisons by reviewing profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and income statements.
  • Prepare reports detailing findings and recommendations for management.
  • Develop, maintain, and set operational specifications for financial information systems, considering data flow, volume, and document formats for processing equipment.
  • Provide analysis on business development and monitor performance by unit or division where applicable.
  • Set up, monitor, and control program costs.
  • Estimate at completion and forecast related activities.
  • Perform miscellaneous financial analyses as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with 5 years of relevant experience, OR a Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience, OR a PhD with 1 year of relevant experience; four additional years of experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Experience with an ERP tool and a Business Intelligence & Analytics tool.
  • Experience with Project Management & Planning tools and/or Collaboration & Integration tools.
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.
  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning and reporting, including Annual Operating Plans and Long Range Strategic Plans.
