Job Description
Liberty Resources is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst for its Integrated Health Care division in Syracuse, NY (hybrid), to support strategic and operational decision-making through vouchering, financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance reporting.
Responsibilities
- Oversee IHC grant contracts, including budget creation, tracking expenditures, preparing and submitting vouchers, recognizing revenue, closing grants, and supporting audits
- Ensure adherence to grant requirements, reporting deadlines, and applicable regulatory standards
- Perform monthly analyses of financial statement fluctuations and variances, reviewing revenue, expenses, margins, and KPIs versus budget, forecast, and prior year
- Track and evaluate key financial and operational metrics such as visit volumes, payer mix, cost per visit, productivity, and staffing ratios
- Produce leadership-ready financial reports, dashboards, and presentations that translate data into actionable insights
- Assist with annual budgeting and periodic reforecasting, partnering with department leaders to model staffing, productivity, and volume assumptions
- Develop financial models to evaluate strategic initiatives, program expansions, and new service offerings
- Provide financial decision support for operational and strategic planning
- Collaborate with clinical, operational, and program leadership to align financial insights with organizational goals
- Coordinate with the Director of Financial Analysis, IHC to prepare annual and regulatory reports such as the New York State CFR, HRSA UDS, AHCF Cost Report, and CCBHC Cost Report
- Maintain accuracy, integrity, consistency, and confidentiality of financial data
- Support audits, rate reviews, and regulatory inquiries as needed
- Conduct ad hoc analyses and special projects as requested
- Adhere to agency policies and participate in daily operations
- Uphold the agency values of service, excellence, and responsibility, fostering an inclusive environment
- Attend and participate in supervisory conferences, staff meetings, trainings, special projects, and professional development as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Identify and report untoward incidents as required
- Complete all required training
- Complete all required documentation within timelines in accordance with program standards
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, healthcare administration, economics, or a related field
- 3 to 5 plus years of financial analysis experience, ideally in healthcare settings such as FQHC, CCBHC, or other regulated environments
- Solid understanding of financial statements and GAAP accounting principles
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, PivotTables, and complex formulas
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy of data
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and critical-thinking abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- Self-directed learner capable of independent research
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment

- $80,000 - $90,000 per year
