Senior Vice President, Financial Reporting Team Manager

Senior leadership role overseeing financial reporting teams, ensuring accurate, compliant reporting for assigned clients and funds on an onsite basis in Westborough, MA.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and set priorities for multiple teams producing and reviewing financial reports for assigned clients and funds
• Support initiatives to transform existing processes by identifying improvement areas and implementing best practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness
• Manage team performance and establish area priorities across the reporting organization
• Provide guidance on processes that validate completeness and accuracy of financial statement disclosure
• Resolve complex, escalated issues raised by team members
• Maintain oversight of relationships with senior-level auditors and clients to ensure reporting meets expectations and depicts fund performance accurately
• Ensure financial reporting aligns with Corporate requirements and applicable regulatory standards
• Lead analysis of changes in accounting and disclosure standards and drive required process updates to support compliance
• Present fund reports to the Board of Directors, supporting strong governance and clear communication of complex or difficult concepts
• Recruit, direct, motivate, and develop staff to maximize individual contributions, professional growth, and effective teamwork
• Manage the Fund Reporting area primarily through subordinate managers
• Own financial reporting area goals, talent management, and supervision of teams

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience managing small to medium sized professional teams, ideally within a fund administrator or a Big 4 firm with exposure to fund investments
• Strong accounting knowledge across relevant accounting standards and regulations, including US GAAP and investment fund structures (Mutual funds, hedge funds, etc.)
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience in accounting and/or finance required
