Specialist, Financial Reporting and Treasury

Mazda Toyota Manufacturing, U.S.A. is looking for a Specialist, Financial Reporting and Treasury to support core financial reporting and treasury activities for the Huntsville, AL operation. This onsite role focuses on strengthening cash management forecasting, contributing to monthly close processes tied to cash, and preparing recurring monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting deliverables.

Working within a finance operations environment, you will collaborate closely with Japanese advisors from Mazda and Toyota and help drive key treasury and reporting workflows aligned with Toyota Motor Corporation and Mazda Motor Corporation requirements, including the annual credit facility application process.

What you will do

• Support internal and external financial reporting and treasury operations.
• Lead cash management forecasting and perform monthly cash variance reporting and analysis.
• Lead monthly close activities related to cash management, including support for insurance accruals as necessary.
• Handle daily banking transactional needs and manage monthly bank statement reporting requirements of TMNA Shared Services.
• Liaise with the Financial Planning and Analysis team to support internal reporting templates and documents used to explain results and support decision-making for plant activities and projects.
• Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including financial statements and footnotes on GAAP analysis financials.
• Participate in compiling annual financial statement footnotes and support external financial statements and related disclosures.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analyses to help management understand performance across accounts, departments, and profit centers.

Collaboration and process ownership

• Work closely with Japanese advisors from Mazda and Toyota.
• Lead the annual credit facility application process in alignment with Toyota Motor Corporation and Mazda Motor Corporation requirements.
• Support establishing foundational accounting and finance department capabilities, including policy support, standard work, and template creation.
• Create standardized work and manuals for the operations and responsibilities of this role.
• Support cross-functional knowledge sharing as opportunities arise in day-to-day interactions.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the department and support additional activities as directed by management.

Work schedule, flexibility, and travel

• Be able to work outside of typical business hours to support company priorities.
• Travel as needed (domestically and internationally).

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of corporate and personal finance principles and management practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrated proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of Products.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Two years of prior manufacturing, cash management, financial reporting, and/or treasury experience.
• Experience with Major Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) Systems, such as SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or PeopleSoft Financials.
• Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.

Salary and compensation

• Huntsville, AL (onsite)
• USD 84,581.12 - 108,270.98 per year
• Compensation consists of an annual salary and a yearly discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
