Sr Finance Manager (Pricing, Promotions and Credit)
Job Description
The Sr Finance Manager (Pricing, Promotions and Credit) partners with business leadership to strengthen financial decision making using scenario planning, analytics, and enterprise scorecarding. This onsite role in Mooresville, NC supports long-range plan and annual operating plan deliverables for senior management and the Board.
Role Overview
In this position, you will manage financial analysts who provide functional support to business units and help ensure financial best practices are implemented, followed, reported, and analyzed. You will also build and communicate portfolio-level insights tied to strategy, guardrails, and measurable outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of financial analysts supporting business units with financial best practices, including reporting and analysis to surface insights for decision making.
- Use Financial Centers of Expertise capabilities to deliver insights for identifying financial risks and opportunities, and analyzing performance drivers.
- Partner with senior leadership (SVPs and VPs) across functional business areas to provide financial insights, recommendations, and best practices for resource allocation decisions.
- Prepare and communicate deliverables for senior management and the Board related to the portfolio, guardrails, long-range plan, and annual operating plan, linking strategy and intent to financial outcomes and measures of success.
- Investigate issues as identified, report findings, propose alternative courses of action, and pursue process improvements.
- Guide business units through financial planning and forecasting processes, leveraging appropriate data elements for markets and industry to evaluate strategic options and alternatives.
- Coordinate with other Finance teams to ensure projected financial outcomes from business plans are properly planned and forecasted.
- Select, hire, and develop talent to maintain a productive and engaged workforce.
- Oversee creation of processes and enterprise scorecarding to continuously measure the financial health of the portfolio.
- Support development of the enterprise long-range plan (LRP), including aggregation of business unit plans and modeling for “what if” scenario analysis at the enterprise level.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education (if applicable).
- 7 years of experience in finance or an analytical role.
- 2 years of experience in strategic and financial modeling.
- 3 years of experience leading people directly or indirectly.
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, financial modeling, and strategy consulting for business.
- Experience with advanced data modeling, data mining, and exploratory data analysis, including linear/logistic regression, ARIMA, and Cluster Analysis.
- Experience leading cross-functionally on enterprise initiatives.
- Experience working in a big box or large retailer.
- Experience working at a Fortune 500 company.
