Sr. Financial Analyst - Trade Finance

Wells Enterprises offers a hybrid, Chicago-based opportunity with a competitive salary range of USD 94,000 to 131,000 per year. In the Senior Analyst role within Trade Marketing Finance, you will partner with Commercial teams to oversee key P&L accounts, improve forecast accuracy, and deliver data-driven insights that inform brand and channel investment strategies. This position emphasizes strong financial modeling, a deep understanding of customer dynamics, and promotional economics across channels, with a focus on building a high-performance culture and mentoring colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close and forecasting for core P&L accounts, clearly explaining drivers by brand and channel.
• Collaborate with Demand Planning, Revenue Management, and Finance to assess volume risks, investment strategies, and balance sheet exposure.
• Evaluate investment opportunities and define KPIs and guardrails in partnership with Revenue Management and Finance teams.
• Provide strategic analyses and recommendations to leadership on current and future business performance.
• Support pricing moves and trade investment analysis, including competitive benchmarking and budget restatements.
• Champion system and process improvements to scale operations and improve financial accuracy in trade and investment management.
• Foster a high-performance culture by mentoring junior analysts and contributing to team development.
• Model teamwork and partnership in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.
• 5 to 7 years of related experience in FP&A, brand finance, or commercial strategy within the consumer packaged goods sector.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, analytical concepts, and financial operating systems and processes.
• Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; Tableau experience is preferred.
• Experience with Oracle EPM, Hyperion, or similar systems is a plus.
• Excellent data storytelling and communication abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight timelines with accuracy.
• Detail-oriented with strong multitasking and priority-management capabilities.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with business partners, including senior leadership.
