Responsibilities
- Collaborate with finance business partners to manage the annual budgeting cycle, gather insights from divisional leaders, and develop accurate corporate budgets and forecasts aligned with strategic objectives.
- Prepare, synthesize, and present financial reports and presentations to senior management, highlighting key findings, trends, and actionable recommendations to improve performance.
- Monitor financial performance against targets and budgets; conduct in-depth analyses to identify risks and opportunities and drive corrective actions with cross-functional teams.
- Partner with the Business Intelligence team to develop KPIs and decision-support measures that inform executive strategy and decision-making.
- Build and maintain scalable financial models to support business and investment decisions, using scenario analysis to provide data-driven recommendations.
- Support business case development and financial strategies for growth initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, product launches, market expansion, and margin improvement efforts.
- Stay informed on economic and market conditions, translating insights into actionable implications for operations and planning.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and corporate policies; coordinate with external auditors and regulators as needed.
- Collaborate with the Financial Information Systems team to enhance Adaptive Insights functionality and drive automation of reporting and planning processes.
- Drive ongoing improvements to financial models and reporting processes to scale with the business and improve accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience

Compensation
Salary: USD 116,000 – 145,000 per year. Exempt Grade 18. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas offers competitive compensation with a focus on rewarding talent. The stated range is a good faith estimate, with offers reviewed to align pay with skills, education, experience, and training.
