Job Description

Compensation up to $90,000 to $180,000 annually plus commission and bonus opportunities tied to individual production and performance. In this full-time, on-site role in San Diego, CA, you will help the dealership move deals from intake to funding while supporting a smooth customer experience through clear, professional presentation of financing and F&I options.

You will manage the full flow of new and pre-owned vehicle transactions, secure financing and leasing through approved lenders, and ensure all required F&I documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant. The role also includes maintaining confidentiality of customer information and coordinating with sales and management to support timely vehicle deliveries.

Responsibilities

  • Manage new and pre-owned vehicle transactions from intake through funding.
  • Secure financing and leasing options through approved banks, credit unions, and automotive lenders.
  • Submit credit applications and structure deals in accordance with lender guidelines.
  • Present financing options and available F&I products professionally and transparently.
  • Explain vehicle service contracts, GAP coverage, maintenance plans, and other applicable protection products.
  • Ensure contracts, disclosures, and supporting documentation are complete, accurate, and compliant.
  • Maintain strong lender relationships and meet lender requirements.
  • Monitor contracts in transit and promptly address funding issues.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer financial and personal information.
  • Work closely with sales and management teams to facilitate timely vehicle deliveries.
  • Meet individual performance, production, and finance penetration objectives.
  • Maintain compliance with dealership policies and applicable federal and California requirements.

Requirements

  • Previous Automotive Finance Manager or F&I experience.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive financing, lending, credit applications, and deal structuring.
  • Experience working with automotive lenders and electronic contracting systems.
  • Strong sales, presentation, negotiation, and customer-service skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions in a fast-paced dealership environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and confidential customer records.
  • Must meet any licensing or training requirements applicable to the position.

Schedule

This is a full-time, on-site position in San Diego, California (on-site). Availability to work dealership hours, including holidays, evenings, and weekends as scheduled, may be required.

Compensation

Expected annual compensation: $90,000-$180,000. Commission and bonus opportunities are based on individual production and performance. Actual earnings may vary based on individual performance, completed and funded transactions, and the terms of the dealership’s written compensation plan.
