Job Description

Bank and Trust Company is seeking a seasoned Chief Financial Officer to steer financial planning, performance management, and reporting while shaping strategy and ensuring regulatory compliance. This executive-level role is based onsite in Litchfield, IL and offers a compensation range of USD 145,000 - 175,000 per year. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in corporate finance, risk management, and team leadership to drive sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies that align with organizational goals to maximize profitability and growth.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and fiscal planning to maintain sound financial health across the company.
  • Lead corporate accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP, IFRS, IAS, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Manage treasury activities including cash flow management, banking relationships, and liquidity planning to optimize resources.
  • Perform risk analysis and implement mitigation measures across operations, finance, and compliance areas.
  • Oversee regulatory reporting processes such as SOX compliance and other statutory filings.
  • Supervise financial software systems and ensure accurate report writing and interpretation for senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Drive revenue management by analyzing market trends, shaping pricing strategies, and supporting business development efforts.
  • Ensure effective expense control and budget adherence across all departments.
  • Provide leadership in strategic planning sessions to align financial goals with organizational objectives while fostering continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in corporate finance, including fiscal management, revenue cycle oversight, and profit and loss responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, IAS, ASC 606, COSO, and SOX regulatory requirements.
  • Proven expertise in mergers and acquisitions, business development, and strategic planning to support growth initiatives.
  • Advanced skills in financial analysis, modeling, forecasting, and market analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Exceptional leadership with experience supervising finance teams and collaborating with senior leadership on complex projects.
  • Proficiency with financial software platforms and technical accounting skills across cost, tax, governmental, and supply chain finance domains.
  • Excellent negotiation and business analysis abilities to identify opportunities for cost control and revenue enhancement.
  • Strong understanding of risk management related to market changes, regulatory shifts, and internal controls such as COSO.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial reports and communicate insights clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Solid knowledge of payroll management systems.
