Director Finance

Lead the finance function and drive financial planning, controls, and reporting for CHRISTUS in Irving, TX.

Responsibilities

• Work with senior management to shape the strategic plan, including financial planning
• Develop, implement, and maintain financial policies and procedures; ensure ongoing compliance
• Prepare the annual budget
• Analyze and prepare monthly financial statements for presentation to the Board of Directors
• Build and maintain general accounting and cost determination systems
• Supervise and coordinate reimbursement, patient accounting, and general accounting (including general ledger accounting and accounts payable)
• Oversee cost analysis and develop rate recommendations to support appropriate income and cash flow
• Review billing and collection trends and recommend corrective actions
• Interpret and endorse third-party payer rules and regulations, including Medicare requirements
• Ensure required cost reporting and billing is completed
• Review departmental performance and ensure compliance with fiscal governmental reporting requirements, including tax reporting
• Assist management staff with financial management performance needs
• Monitor departmental budget performance and internal controls
• Set departmental objectives, establish staffing patterns, and organize departmental work
• Manage and evaluate supervisor performance to ensure quality service and technical expertise
• Select and train or orient departmental personnel
• Approve personnel actions, including merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions for assigned staff
• Use oral and written communication to convey ideas clearly and positively in alignment with the SCH Mission and Belief Statements
• Demonstrate stewardship of organizational resources through day-to-day job responsibilities
• Demonstrate respect for customer needs through value-based leadership and teamwork
• Attend administrative meetings to make policy decisions and pursue solutions for complex problems
• Follow CHRISTUS Provider Network guidelines related to HIPAA to prevent or detect unauthorized disclosure of Protected Health Information (PHI)
• Maintain strict confidentiality
• Maintain CHRISTUS Provider Network policies and procedures related to objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental practices, and infection control
• Implement responsibilities in accordance with the CHRISTUS Mission and Code of Ethics, including support for cultural diversity objectives for CHRISTUS Provider Network
• Support and adhere to CPN Service Guarantee
