Job Description
Lead hands-on finance operations for an inventory-heavy commercial and industrial power-equipment business in a hybrid role from Philadelphia.
Responsibilities

- Deliver timely, accurate monthly financial statements and management reporting for executive leadership
- Build annual budgets and rolling forecasts, providing clear visibility into expected revenue, profitability, cash flow, and capital needs
- Manage and analyze inventory economics: valuation, aging, turns, purchasing activity, equipment profitability, and related working-capital requirements
- Partner with Sales and Operations to evaluate deal economics, including pricing, gross margin, commissions, project costs, and profitability
- Create financial models and analyses for inventory purchases, major transactions, financing decisions, investments, and strategic growth initiatives
- Improve cash-flow forecasting and working-capital management across accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, purchasing, and customer/vendor terms
- Establish and maintain financial controls covering purchasing, inventory, payments, collections, revenue recognition, commissions, and capital expenditures
- Build dashboards and KPIs for revenue, gross margin, profitability, cash, AR, inventory, backlog, sales performance, and other key drivers
- Review existing financial systems and processes, then implement improvements that increase accuracy, efficiency, scalability, and visibility
- Manage relationships with banks, lenders, insurance providers, tax professionals, auditors, and other external financial partners
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting, tax, reporting, and regulatory requirements
- Support strategic planning with scenario modeling, investment evaluation, and long-term financial planning
- Build and develop the finance/accounting team as company needs evolve
Requirements

- Advanced Excel and financial-modeling skills, plus strong experience using accounting/ERP systems
- Ability to translate complex financial information into clear business recommendations for non-finance leaders
- Strong process and internal-control mindset without creating unnecessary bureaucracy
- CPA and/or MBA preferred (not required, depending on experience)
