Job Description
Lead the finance function at Lindsay Precast by driving the month-end close, reporting, analysis, and plant-level budgeting support in Alachua, FL.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a finance business partner to plant and operational leadership, delivering insights and recommendations to improve business performance
- Partner with operational leaders to understand cost drivers, identify improvement opportunities, and support profitability and efficiency-focused decisions
- Support monthly close, budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting activities with plant and functional leadership
- Own AP and AR processes, partnering with plant teams to ensure accurate, timely processing
- Review and approve journal entries and prepare account reconciliations
- Analyze financial results, KPIs, and operational performance, translating variances and trends into actionable insights
- Build and maintain visibility for leadership using financial reporting, dashboards, and analytical tools
- Lead inventory analysis with plant teams, including physical count variances, inventory turns, valuation, usage, and accuracy improvement opportunities
- Manage, coach, and develop Plant Accountants while ensuring consistent, accurate, and timely financial processes and reporting
- Drive continuous improvement across accounting processes, systems, and reporting, including support for ERP initiatives and automation
Requirements
- 5+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience overseeing AP and AR, including billing, collections, and vendor payment processes
- Practical understanding of month-end close, cost accounting, inventory analysis, and plant-level financial operations
- Proficiency with ERP systems and Excel
- Working knowledge of GAAP as it applies to manufacturing and inventory accounting
- Proven ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance audiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Industry experience in precast concrete or manufacturing
- Experience supporting ERP implementations or process automation initiatives

Role Details
- Location: Alachua, FL (onsite)
- Compensation: USD 85,000 - 105,000 per year
- Travel: Approximately 25% to plant locations as needed
