Job Description
NewCold in Lebanon, IN is seeking a Financial Accountant to manage the site's Finance functions in partnership with the Site Financial Controller and Site Manager. This on-site position sits within the U.S. region finance team and reports to the Area Controller. The role involves occasional travel to other locations as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Site Financial Controller with the control cycle, including the annual operating plan (AOP), monthly reporting, and forecasts.
- Assist with the preparation of site reporting packages.
- Monitor the site's financial results and collaborate with Operations leadership to identify improvement ideas.
- Maintain records in accordance with approved policies, state and federal laws, and industry best practices.
- Assist with creating and enforcing strong internal controls.
- Address finance needs by deadlines.
- Work with outside service providers (Accounting, Tax, Benefits, etc.) to ensure auditing and compliance requirements are met.
- Adhere to monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting requirements.
Core tasks
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and management commentary.
- Complete internal reporting and communications as required.
- Assist with timely and accurate completion of weekly cash flow projections.
- Assist in the annual budget process with Finance and Operations.
- Support the shared service center regarding recurring accounting transactions and the closing process.
- Review accounting records for accuracy.
- Work with outside finance service providers related to local, regional, and national compliance and deadlines.
- Process weekly customer invoices and periodic customer rate changes.
- Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned.
