Financial Analyst

Convergint Technologies LLC is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its Financial Planning & Analysis team in a hybrid role based in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. The position centers on supporting the monthly close, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis, with a strong emphasis on preserving data integrity across ERP systems and translating financial information into actionable insights for decision makers.

Responsibilities

• Extract, transform, validate, and analyze financial data drawn from several ERP platforms, databases, and reporting tools to inform financial reporting and decision making.
• Leverage advanced Excel capabilities, reporting tools, and data queries to analyze large, complex datasets efficiently.
• Identify and implement process improvements that automate manual tasks, streamline workflows, and enhance financial reporting through technology and ongoing improvements.
• Collaborate with Accounting and Regional Finance Directors to research and resolve data discrepancies, identify root causes, and establish durable solutions.
• Support the deployment, testing, and optimization of new ERP and EPM solutions to safeguard data integrity, ensure reporting accuracy, and drive user adoption.
• Assist with the monthly close activities.
• Translate financial data into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders at all levels.
• Contribute to the global annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Assist with system enhancements, improved reporting, and special projects as needs evolve.
• Ensure adherence to internal control policies and procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Expert Microsoft Excel skills, including Power Pivot, Power Query, complex formulas, and data analysis techniques.
• Ability to extract, manipulate, and analyze large, complex datasets from multiple systems while maintaining data accuracy and integrity.
• Comfort with learning and navigating multiple ERP systems and financial applications.
• Solid knowledge of financial statements, general ledger concepts, and accounting principles.
• Strong analytical and problem solving abilities to investigate issues, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate financial information into clear insights for non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong planning, organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to accurate, high-quality work.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently while collaborating across cross-functional teams.
• Curious and driven to understand financial data, accounting processes, and data flows through systems.
• Adaptable to a dynamic environment where priorities and processes evolve.
• Experience with financial reporting systems, CPM/consolidation tools, or SQL reporting is a plus.
