Financial Analyst

HealthPartners is seeking a Financial Analyst to act as a finance liaison for assigned service line(s). In this onsite role in Bloomington, MN, the analyst will partner with service line leaders to identify financial needs and opportunities, and will support ongoing analysis, forecasting activities, and customer request follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform proforma analyses, including capital profitability.
• Conduct month-end actual performance variance analysis.
• Complete ad hoc analyses requested by customers.
• Gather, format, and interpret data to support analysis activities.
• Support service lines and Finance regarding the forecast process and forecast results.
• Provide follow-up and resolutions for customer requests not covered elsewhere.
• Complete other assigned projects, which may include decision support, program excellence, process improvement initiatives, and surveys.
• Facilitate general ledger and subsystem structure changes, including process improvement and identification and resolution of process problems.
• Facilitate customers in developing their financial knowledge.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required.
• Other applicable degrees may be considered, as determined by the leader.
• At least 1 year of experience in finance, accounting, or a business-related field.
• Extensive experience developing personal computer spreadsheets and models.
• Strong PC system background with proven proficiency in spreadsheets and relational database software.

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA or CMA is a plus.
• Preference for 1–3 years of experience in financial analysis and/or accounting, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Prior experience using Oracle.
• Demonstrated communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to interact effectively with the operational analysis team.
• Ability to balance independent thinking with team support.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• Understanding of accounting methodologies.
• Strong aptitude for systems and data analysis.

Compensation

• Pay range: USD $32.31 - $48.47 hourly
• Compensation is based on role level and requirements, and may also be influenced by education, experience, knowledge, skills, location, abilities, and internal equity.
• Additional compensation may be available for eligible candidates (examples include shift differential, bonus, sales incentive, productivity pay, etc.).
