Job Description

Join a small, multi-unit agribusiness where your financial leadership shapes operations from the ledger to strategic decisions. This on-site role in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 250,000 per year, with comprehensive benefits and a collaborative culture that values process improvements and financial integrity. You’ll partner with management and external vendors to strengthen controls, drive efficiency, and support sustainable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and communicate robust financial controls with management to safeguard the integrity of the company ledger.
  • Oversee all financial control activities, including the review and analysis of monthly borrowing base disclosures.
  • Provide senior leadership with timely, accurate financial information to inform strategic analysis and decision making.
  • Lead the consolidation and analysis of performance, trends, and enterprise-wide financial metrics across the organization.
  • Coordinate external audit processes by supplying documentation and support to auditors.
  • Prepare and assemble information for the accounting firm to prepare tax returns.
  • Guide budgeting, forecasting, and financial projections in collaboration with management.
  • Assist management in evaluating and selecting insurance products for company assets and employees.
  • Train, mentor, and develop administrative and accounting staff to grow capabilities.
  • Ensure secure and accurate bank reconciliations and proper handling of all financial transactions.
  • Oversee payroll tax reporting, compliance, and distribution of year-end forms.
  • Supervise day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll execution as needed.

Requirements

  • Extensive accounting experience, preferably within the grain or agricultural sector.
  • Strong grasp of organizational-level accounting systems and the implications of changing procedures.
  • Proven leadership with a collaborative, positive approach and a track record of working well with others.
  • Experience as a team player who helps colleagues learn and adopt processes.
  • Clear interest in optimizing processes and leveraging technology to improve outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially in conveying detailed information to management.
  • High adaptability and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring and developing staff.
