Job Description
Yourway offers an on-site Financial Controller role in Allentown, PA, where you will partner with the VP of Finance and senior leadership to drive day-to-day finance and operating activities. This leadership position oversees a 12-person accounting team across US and international entities, shaping financial processes, controls, and reporting to support strategic decision-making. The role provides direct exposure to executive leadership and the chance to influence how the business manages its financial operations.
What you will do
- Oversee the daily operations of the US accounting department and supervise related international entities to ensure accurate and timely financial activity.
- Lead monthly close and year-end closing procedures with a focus on completeness and accuracy.
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable, including aging analysis and customer payment reconciliation.
- Supervise monthly reconciliation of corporate credit cards and related accounting activities.
- Direct payroll and human resources functions, ensuring proper controls and compliance.
- Monitor general ledger activity and enforce consistent use of the chart of accounts.
- Lead budgeting, cash forecasting, and sales forecasting processes.
- Oversee customer and vendor account setup and onboarding.
- Perform revenue and expenditure variance analysis to inform management decisions.
- Reconcile capital assets and manage fixed asset records.
- Analyze accounting data and generate financial reports or statements for leadership and stakeholders.
- Establish and enforce accounting policies, methods, and principles to maintain strong controls.
- Collaborate with third-party accountants, attorneys, and other professionals as needed.
- Assist with corporate and individual tax return preparation and maintain knowledge of US and international tax law.
- Oversee the insurance program and coordinate annual renewals with agents.
- Recommend system and process improvements and drive corrective actions as necessary.
- Support achievement of financial accounting objectives and maintain organized fiscal files and records.
- Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Office to support financial operations.
- Supervise accounting staff and manage the finance function across related business interests.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (Required).
- Location: Allentown, PA 18106 (Required). Onsite work only.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant finance or accounting experience (Required).
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (Required).
- Knowledge of US and international tax law (Required).
- Work location: In person (Required).
- CPA license preferred.
- Experience: 10 years in finance/accounting preferred; GAAP knowledge 5+ years preferred.
