Job Description
The Lead Finance Analyst, Financial Planning role at LCS is based onsite in Des Moines, IA. This position drives the financial planning lifecycle, owning models and forecasts while partnering with business leaders to deliver actionable insights, shape planning processes, and mentor junior colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end planning activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning for designated functions or regions.
- Lead variance analysis with insights into key drivers, risks, and opportunities.
- Design, build, and maintain complex financial models and forecasting tools.
- Develop scenario analyses to inform strategic and operational decision making.
- Collaborate directly with business leaders to align financial plans with operational strategies.
- Drive development of KPIs, benchmarks, and performance dashboards.
- Oversee the preparation of executive-level presentations and reporting.
- Identify and implement process improvements across planning cycles and systems.
- Mentor and provide guidance to analysts and senior analysts.
- Support system enhancements and data integrity initiatives.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Economics, or related field; or equivalent years of experience.
- 4–6 years of relevant FP&A or business finance experience.
- Advanced modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of business drivers and financial performance management.
- Experience working with planning systems, BI tools, and data environments.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and communicate with leadership.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead initiatives.

What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Economics, or related field; or equivalent years of experience.
- 4–6 years of relevant FP&A or business finance experience.
- Advanced modeling, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of business drivers and financial performance management.
- Experience working with planning systems, BI tools, and data environments.

Additional Information
- Travel frequency: 0-10%
- Estimated Salary: USD 85,000 - 106,000 per yearly
- The actual title and salary will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and other relevant factors.
