Lead Product Owner, Finance Applications

Harvey is seeking a finance applications product leader to own finance systems and workflows across the organization as it scales globally.

• Product Ownership: Act as product owner for one or more core finance business process areas, including order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and/or record-to-report, plus the systems that support them
• Discovery to Roadmap: Lead discovery with process owners, define target-state process and system design, own the roadmap, and measure success using value-added outcomes and accuracy
• Own Complex Problems: Lead the hardest domain challenges where there is no established configuration pattern
• Finance Applications Architecture: Maintain a holistic architecture strategy for the finance ecosystem, including system boundaries, data movement between systems, and short-, mid-, and long-term planning
• Integrations and Handoffs: Collaborate with owners of adjacent enterprise systems, including Workday and Salesforce, to deliver integrations and handoffs finance depends on
• Automation and Workflow Modernization: Identify manual work and eliminate it by replacing spreadsheets, manual data entry, and email-based approvals with configuration, automated workflows, and integrations
• Tooling Evaluation: Evaluate new functionality across existing and new tooling to determine best fit for Harvey
• NetSuite and Ledger Feeds: Configure, maintain, and optimize NetSuite; based on business process ownership, own the spend and revenue workflows that feed the ledger
• Spend and Revenue Workflow Ownership:
  • Own spend and revenue workflows including Zip intake and approvals
  • Own Ramp and Brex card programs and expenses
  • Own Metronome usage ingestion and downstream invoicing logic
  • Shape future tooling for advanced revenue recognition
• AI and Automation Opportunities: Identify, test, and implement practical AI and automation opportunities within owned processes in a controlled manner, with clear impact on time savings and reduced manual output
• Application Quality and Delivery: Own quality for the applications with a lightweight SDLC approach that balances accuracy and agility
• Enablement for Peers: Partner with leadership to establish best practices and act as mentor and escalation point for peers across Finance and Business Technology on portfolio hardest design questions

Requirements

• 7+ years hands-on experience as a finance systems professional
• 5+ years direct NetSuite experience, including complex configuration depth and support for a global, multi-entity, multi-currency finance organization
• Product owner/manager experience in at least one core finance business process area (order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and/or record-to-report), including discovery with process owners, target-state process design, proposing tradeoffs or workarounds, and owning a roadmap through delivery
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across business and technology organizations
• Track record mentoring peers, setting technical standards, or being the expert others escalate to on difficult problems
• Demonstrated ability to solve ambiguous, high-stakes process problems without an existing playbook, with high autonomy and appropriate escalation on high-impact decisions
• Deep understanding of leading and emerging trends in SaaS finance applications and architecture, including where automation and AI drive innovation
• Direct experience implementing best practices around change management, regression and UAT planning, segregation of duties, and regulatory requirements while improving efficiency
