Job Description

Allied Onesource is seeking a hands-on Manager of Finance & Accounting to anchor the finance function in Union, Missouri. This role serves as a strategic business partner and operational leader, supervising a small accounting team while driving timely financial reporting and robust controls that influence the company’s direction.

In this position you will own the financial reporting cycle, partner with operations and manufacturing teams, and ensure GAAP-compliant accounting practices align with the organization’s priorities. The ideal candidate blends technical expertise with leadership to deliver actionable, data-driven recommendations to executive leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, including variance analysis and financial modeling; deliver actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Oversee accounting operations including month-end close, general ledger activity, reconciliations, financial statements, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll support, and GAAP compliance.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Manufacturing teams to analyze costs, labor variances, inventory, work-in-progress, and overall business performance.
  • Develop processes and lead the team by mentoring accounting staff, improving controls, reporting accuracy, process efficiency, and departmental accountability.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with responsibilities in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close.
  • Manufacturing accounting experience strongly preferred, including exposure to standard costing, inventory, labor variances, material burden, work-in-process (WIP), or cost accounting.
  • Proven leadership ability, whether through direct management or a track record of mentoring, influencing, and driving accountability within teams.
  • Strong analytical and business acumen, with the ability to interpret financial data, investigate discrepancies, identify trends, and communicate recommendations to executive leadership.
