Job Description
Based in Cleveland, this onsite role leads Medical Mutual of Ohio's financial forecasting program and administers the OneStream platform. The position coordinates annual operating plan development, long-range financial modeling, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration to align financial insights with strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of the Annual Operating Plan and oversee interim forecasts across the fiscal year.
- Collaborate with Finance, Actuarial, Sales and other functions to establish key assumptions and estimates.
- Create and maintain near-term and long-range financial projections to support Medical Mutual's strategic planning process.
- Oversee the evaluation and measurement of corporate functions, including variance and trend analysis, monitoring KPIs such as MLR, and identifying opportunities for improvement and strategic initiatives.
- Support MMNext governance through monthly tracking and reporting.
- Drive enhancements to the OneStream platform under Finance direction, overseeing development and maintenance to support the AOP, short and long-range forecasting, data models, dashboards, and related processes.
- Lead OneStream Administrators and the broader financial strategy and forecasting staff.
- Partner with Corporate Reporting to develop comparative financial and operating reports and schedules for performance analysis.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or Business Administration.
- Eight years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis or financial systems analysis, preferably within a health plan; at least three years in a leadership role.
- OneStream experience preferred.
- Oracle Financials experience preferred.
- Health insurance industry experience preferred.
- CPA preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of OneStream, DB2, SQL, SQL Server, Microsoft Visual Basic, SAS, and familiarity with mainframe-based accounting systems.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Access.
