Senior Director Finance Transformation
Job Description
This role leads finance transformation activities across Sysco’s Shared Services Organization by defining and implementing future-state finance processes, establishing global process standards, and supporting enterprise-wide integration efforts.
Role Overview
The Senior Director Finance Transformation leads a team of Global Process Owners responsible for designing the future-state Finance processes for AP, AR, ITC, and RTR. The leader serves as a Workday and Finance technology subject matter expert, coordinates future-state design and implementation across Core Financials and Financial Engagement Layers (Cora), and drives end-to-end process efficiency, standardization, and post-acquisition integration into SBS.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Global Process Owners to define design future-state Finance processes for AP, AR, ITC, and RTR.
- Own end-to-end strategic and transactional process design across finance, operations, people, technology, data, and performance management within the Shared Services Organization.
- Coordinate future-state design and implementation activities across Core Financials and Financial Engagement Layers (Cora).
- Act as a Workday and Finance subject matter expert to ensure cross-functional coordination and alignment.
- Drive improvements in end-to-end Finance process efficiency and effectiveness, including identifying and removing obstacles to meet organization objectives.
- Manage scope covering Corp/SBS, USBL, specialty, and Canadian entities.
- Serve as the primary project owner for the Workday enterprise system for Finance modules.
- Provide strategic oversight to ensure end-to-end initiatives meet project milestones and key metrics.
- Lead process design and coordination of post-acquisition activities to integrate acquisitions into SBS.
- Set strategic direction across process design, policy development, spend management controls, and technology.
- Support continuous improvement of processes and procedures, including developing process design for businesses integrating into SBS.
- Partner with corporate, SBS, field, and global functional executive stakeholders to align on strategic direction.
- Define competencies and skills required to lead end-to-end process ownership.
- Lead solutions for recommended process design changes and integration of processes into SBS for existing businesses and acquisitions.
- Support M&A activities including governance and integration strategies, and partner with external consultants and internal stakeholders on SBS function direction.
- Champion and maintain accountability for Innovation projects and deliverables.
- Provide oversight and review of the accuracy, timeliness, and quality of financial information and compliance.
- Use metrics and data to drive visibility, continuous improvement, and achievement of enterprise-wide goals across delivery centers and field operations.
- Enable functional requirements and provide global implementation support.
- Contribute actively to help achieve key financial and growth goals, including building morale and mobilizing others.
- Demonstrate effective resource management across people, processes, and technology to achieve outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in a finance-related field.
- Minimum 10+ years of experience.
- Deep experience driving strategic initiatives.
- Experience driving M&A integrations into a large, diverse enterprise.
- Ability to think conceptually and creatively with limited oversight.
- Comfort working with ambiguity and translating it into clear logical designs.
- Ability to comprehend new systems and articulate concepts while ensuring controls support strong working relationships with internal and external clients.
- Process-oriented approach with understanding of business process improvement methods, change management, and project management.
- Ability to drive and improve end-to-end process efficiencies and effectiveness.
- Ability to manage partnerships, inspire and motivate others, influence actions and opinions, accept feedback, and provide vision and inspiration.
- Effective conflict resolution skills, maintaining composure with conflict or emotionally charged topics.
- Strong knowledge of finance principles and communication skills.

Education and Experience
- Education (Preferred): Advanced degree in a finance-related field.
- Experience (Preferred): 10+ years in finance transformation roles.

Location, Work Arrangement, and Travel
- Location: Houston, TX (hybrid).
- Candidates located in the Houston, Texas area may work hybrid, with on-site presence required based on business needs.
- Candidates located outside the Houston, Texas area may work remotely.
- Travel: Expected to travel frequently.
- Work Environment: Office settings.
Compensation
Salary range: USD 145,000 - 241,600 per year.
