Job Description
This onsite role in San Antonio directs financial leadership for StandardAero's Commercial Engine Services and the Military, Helicopters & Energy divisions. The Senior Finance Director partners with business leaders to maintain a robust control environment and to develop talent across sectors.
Responsibilities
- Site strategy: oversee the appraisal and integration of new engine platforms; lead negotiations and engagement with the San Antonio Port Authority as well as external customers and vendors to support expansion opportunities.
- LEAP business partner: serve as a member of the SBU leadership team and deliver finance and business commitments; act as the primary point of contact with external stakeholders such as CFM, airline and lessor customers, and supply chain vendors; embed and maintain an effective Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) process to optimize capacity utilization and advance the sales pipeline.
- Forecast leadership: develop and manage the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long-Range Operating Plan (LRP) to achieve short, medium, and long-term commitments, with key stakeholders actively engaged and accountable.
- Cross-sector finance leadership: report to and deputize for the sector VP of Finance, with broader engagement to sector leadership teams and the Executive Leadership Team (including the COO & CFO) to satisfy all commitments.
- Cost versus benefit analysis: implement rapid prototyping methodologies to empower finance and non-finance team members in evaluating risks and opportunities for specific issues.
- Change leader: foster a culture of continuous improvement within finance and across cross-functional teams to heighten process efficiency and forecast accuracy.
- Manufacturing variance analysis: monitor, forecast, and develop strategies to control manufacturing variances at the site.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance (or MBA)
- 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience with proven ability to communicate results to senior executives in a timely manner
- Manufacturing exposure with an understanding of Bills of Materials (BOMs), PPV, absorption and other manufacturing terms
- Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills
- Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint proficiency, with a focus on leveraging digital solutions to provide real-time decision support
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and delegate effectively
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and develop ad hoc, unstructured analyses

Preferred Characteristics
- CPA designation preferred but not required
- Aerospace finance experience, preferably with an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO), Airline, Asset Management or an associated vendor/supplier to the aerospace industry
- Government contracting and/or audit experience
