Job Description

Based in Camden, Arkansas on site, this Program Finance specialist role focuses on Earned Value Management and program financial reporting for a major defense program, handling budgeting, EV data, EAC/ETC projections, and customer reporting; it collaborates with Program Management, Material Planning, and Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Under general oversight, develop time-phased integrated budgets and schedules, ensure EV data compliance and reporting, and integrate cost accounting with cost and schedule data.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the financial performance of assigned programs, providing early warnings of potential performance issues and identifying risks with proposed mitigations.
  • Oversee budgeting, cost control and variance analysis, internal and external reporting, and support risk management and financial operations.
  • Develop quarterly Estimates at Complete (EACs) and assist in accurate projection of ETC, EAC, and Latest Revised Estimate (LRE) data.
  • Educate and lead financial analysts in organizing Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and in creating and maintaining charge numbers.
  • Analyze costs and personnel to ensure actuals remain within budget and are charged to the correct end objective.
  • Perform workforce planning, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Extract and reconcile accounting data.
  • Generate program financial artifacts such as EV reports, graphs, and analyses, including customer reporting as required.
  • Develop and present briefings on the program's financial status to the customer.
  • Educate PMO and CAMS with internal reports on cost and schedule performance.
  • Communicate within and outside the organization to explain and influence changes to practices and processes.
  • Provide recommendations and implement new process improvement initiatives.
  • Perform ad hoc analyses, data integrity checks, and validations related to program financials.
  • Apply broad knowledge of FAR, CAS, and GAAP.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
  • Graduate Degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
  • In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 8 years of related experience
