Strategic Financial Director

The Strategic Financial Director at Sac & Fox Casino oversees the casino's financial management, accounting operations, compliance, budgeting, reporting, and strategic financial planning, partnering with the executive leadership team to support growth and informed decision making. This position is based onsite in Powhattan, Kansas.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the casino's complete accounting and financial operations
• Prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and performance analyses for the business
• Ensure adherence to gaming regulations, internal controls, and corporate financial policies
• Coordinate audits, tax filings, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting processes
• Oversee accounts payable, payroll, cage/vault operations, and purchasing functions
• Drive operational efficiency and enable informed strategic decisions
• Establish departmental goals, staffing plans, and performance initiatives for the team
• Foster cross-department collaboration through clear communication and effective leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Math, or related field (preferred)
• 5+ years of banking or casino finance experience
• 5+ years of leadership or management experience
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and compliance
• Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Proficiency with accounting systems and financial software
