Job Description
Based in Little Chute, Wisconsin, BLC Community Bank seeks a seasoned financial leader to guide the bank's fiscal strategy from the Vice President of Finance role. This on-site position blends strategic financial management, rigorous reporting, budgeting and forecasting, regulatory compliance, and advisory support for the executive team and the Board. A bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience in banking or financial services are required.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full spectrum of accounting, reporting, and financial planning to ensure accuracy, timely delivery, and regulatory compliance.
- Steer the annual budgeting process, long-range forecasts, and financial modeling initiatives.
- Provide actionable financial insights that support strategic initiatives, operational efficiency, and profitability.
- Serve as the primary financial liaison to the Board of Directors, presenting results, risk perspectives, and strategic recommendations.
- Partner with executive management on capital planning, liquidity management, and risk assessments.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP, banking regulations, and internal control standards.
- Manage relationships with auditors, regulators, and key external stakeholders.
- Supervise and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
- Drive continuous improvements in financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; CPA, CFA, or MBA is preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive finance experience in banking or financial services.
- Proven experience leading a finance team and partnering with senior executives.
- Strong knowledge of banking regulations and GAAP.
- Comprehensive understanding of banking financial operations, regulatory requirements, and reporting standards.
- Advanced analytical skills, financial modeling capabilities, and problem solving.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership and people-management experience in a banking or financial services environment.
- Strategic thinker with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to ethical financial practices.
