Responsibilities

  • Lead cross functional projects with Sales, Operations, and Corporate to drive issues to resolution
  • Manage a team of approximately 30 people and contribute to finance team engagement initiatives
  • Partner with OPG Finance leadership to provide data and analysis for comprehensive reporting
  • Collaborate with the OPG Controller on the month end close process
  • Handle stakeholder requests from Miner and OPG senior leadership and Board members
  • Stay current on economic conditions, industry trends, and market dynamics
  • Prepare annual plans and forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities
  • Deliver standard month end close reporting, quarterly Board slides, Net Working Capital metrics, and weekly Gross Margin initiatives
  • Complete the Miner monthly close and manage Balance Sheet accounts
  • Analyze Miner monthly results, comparing actuals to prior year, forecast, and plan; assess branch and product/service performance
  • Evaluate key performance levers including incentives, sales productivity, contract profitability, and mix of products, services, and branches
  • Oversee large customer profitability analyses and track the impact of gross margin initiatives
  • Publish detailed reporting such as dashboards, headcount, expense and travel reporting, regional results, and centralized KPI reporting
  • Produce bi weekly cash flow forecasts and Net Working Capital metrics
  • Develop business cases and ROI analyses for investments when needed
  • Prepare ad hoc reporting as required
  • Manage Miner incentives and commission calculations; set sales targets with leadership
  • Own Miner/OPG Power BI reporting
  • Out of scope: Miner accounts receivable, collections, and accounts payable
  • Produce repeatable channel and segment level P&L metrics to drive accountability
  • Support streamlining and improvement of all reporting to improve timeliness and accuracy
  • Play a key role in system integration and upgrades, including ERP transitions, SPIFF incentives, construction management software, and Horizon ERP implementation
  • Assist with the evaluation of acquisition targets, including due diligence, financial modeling, and integration planning

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related business field; MBA preferred
  • Experience across a mix of company sizes and ownership structures (PE, private equity, etc.); minimum of 15 years strongly preferred
  • Experience leading and coaching teams from analyst level upward; minimum of 10 years preferred
  • Experience in Industrial Services and/or Logistics is a bonus; required FP&A, accounting, net working capital, M&A, and system integration experience; pricing and profitability analysis preferred; experience evaluating incentives and salesperson ROI preferred; program management and process improvement a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of finance and accounting best practices and standards
  • Excellent analytical abilities with strong communication skills across all organizational levels
  • Ability to synthesize data into concise, actionable plans

Location and Travel

Location: San Antonio, TX (onsite). The role is based in Atlanta, GA (or near other OnPoint Group offices) with travel to San Antonio and other locations as needed. Candidates may reside outside of San Antonio but must be able to travel to Miner / OnPoint Group offices.
