Focus Management Group is seeking a seasoned finance leader to guide the financial strategy and operations for its hospitality management portfolio. This onsite role in Durant, Oklahoma, calls for at least a decade of finance leadership and a bachelor’s degree, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, risk management, and the finance team to drive profitability and informed decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the company’s growth and operational goals.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and reports to provide actionable insights to senior management.
- Manage cash flow, capital structure, and job costing for construction, PIPs, and Premier Development and Construction accounts.
- Lead the finance department, including hiring, mentoring, and evaluating team members to build a high-performing, collaborative group.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls to mitigate risks and maintain integrity.
- Collaborate with operations, sales, and marketing to align financial planning with business initiatives.
- Drive cost management initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Support strategic initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships by providing financial due diligence and analysis.
- Oversee all accounting operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP and tax regulations.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and daily bank balances; oversee receivables, payables, tax filings, and investment activities to optimize financial performance and liquidity.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, preferably within the Accommodation and Food Services industry or a related sector.
- Proven expertise in financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated experience managing finance teams and collaborating with executive leadership.
- Experience with Solomon, FRX, Profit Sword, Hotel Effectiveness, Profit Sage.
- Strong communication, leadership, strategic thinking, and technical skills.
