Auto Finance Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide vehicle financing and insurance options to customers, clearly explaining aftermarket products, extended warranties, and dealership and manufacturer service procedures and policies.
• Foster and maintain lender relationships to secure competitive interest rates and financing programs.
• Process financing and leasing submissions accurately and obtain approvals through appropriate financial sources and regulatory channels.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations affecting the new and used vehicle finance operations.
• Collaborate with the sales team to establish a referral program ensuring new sales are directed to the F&I department.
• Educate the sales staff on available finance and lease programs and the benefits of the dealership’s financing and extended service offerings.

Requirements

• A recommended background includes two years in automotive sales and at least one year in a dealership management role.
• Managerial responsibilities include sustaining department profitability, controlling expenses, and maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Proficiency in current federal, state, and local regulations impacting operations is required.
• Strong communication skills to engage customers, staff, and finance vendors on behalf of the dealership.
• Extended hours, evenings, and weekends are common in automotive retail roles.
• A college degree or equivalent finance experience is preferred; a background in business, mathematics, marketing, and computers is valuable.
