Job Description

Automotive Finance Manager role at LaFontaine Buick GMC of Ann Arbor in Ann Arbor, MI, focused on generating additional revenue by selling finance and insurance products to new and used vehicle customers while complying with the information security program and maintaining a professional appearance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with all sources of finance and insurance products, including factory partners and other providers.
  • Submit complete and accurate documentation to secure approval for all eligible finance transactions.
  • Collaborate with sales management to design and sustain a program that ensures a 100 percent turnover of deals to the Finance & Insurance department.
  • Partner with Sales Managers to secure a reasonable profit on every transaction.
  • Create forecasts for the finance department in coordination with the sales team to achieve targeted penetration and income.
  • Verify the accuracy of title, lien information, taxes, and other documents on customer paperwork.
  • Ensure customer data accuracy in dealership databases, including email addresses.
  • Notarize deal paperwork as required by policy.
  • Submit completed deals to the office promptly and in the correct workflow.
  • Obtain licenses to sell insurance, when applicable.
  • Prepare monthly reports on finance penetration and products sold to inform leadership.
  • Keep sales management updated on current rates and product offerings.
  • Complete all required training certifications as directed by management.
  • Adhere to policies and procedures in the Personnel Policy Manual and other corporate guidelines; perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • At least two years of automotive sales experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and information.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds occasionally.
