The Position
The Finance and Insurance Manager is tasked with generating additional revenue by selling finance and insurance products to new and used vehicle customers. The role requires adherence to the information security program and a professional appearance at all times.
Responsibilities
- Build and sustain positive relationships with all sources of finance and insurance products, including factory partners.
- Prepare and submit complete documentation to secure approvals for eligible finance transactions.
- Collaborate with sales management to implement a process that ensures a full turnover of deals to the Finance and Insurance department.
- Coordinate with Sales Managers to secure a reasonable profit on each transaction.
- Forecast finance department activity in tandem with the sales team to achieve target penetration and income.
- Verify title, lien information, taxes, and other documents; ensure accuracy of customer data in dealership systems, including email addresses.
- Notarize deal paperwork as required.
- Submit completed deals to the office promptly.
- Acquire necessary licenses for selling insurance, if applicable.
- Prepare monthly reports on finance penetration and products sold.
- Keep sales management informed about current rates and available products.
- Complete all required training certifications as directed by management.
- Adhere to policies and procedures in the Personnel Policy Manual and other corporate guidelines; perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years in automotive sales.
- High school diploma or GED
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
Physical Requirements
- Extended periods of sitting at a desk and using a computer
- Occasionally able to lift up to 15 pounds
- Ability to access and navigate each department within the facilities
