Job Description
Alexander Hyundai of Oxnard, Ca is a family owned dealership looking for an experienced Automotive Finance Manager to support a growing team in Oxnard, CA (onsite). This full-time role centers on helping customers access finance and insurance programs while ensuring deal processing, compliance, and paperwork are accurate and timely. Compensation ranges from $140,000 to $300,000 per year, with benefits including 401(k), health, dental, vision, and life insurance plus paid time off.
Responsibilities
- Generate additional dealership revenue by selling finance and insurance programs and other appropriate after-sale items to new- and used-vehicle customers.
- Provide customers with thorough explanations of aftermarket products, including extended warranties, and provide a menu to every customer.
- Convert cash deals to finance.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with multiple finance sources, including the manufacturer.
- Process finance and lease deals accurately and fairly through financial sources to secure approval.
- Conduct business in an ethical and professional manner.
- Complete and process all federal, state, and dealer paperwork related to vehicle transactions.
- Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations impacting the new- and used-vehicle and finance departments.
- Complete sales and lease paperwork in a timely and efficient manner.
- Check all paperwork for correct title, lien information, and taxes before forwarding to accounting.
- Explain manufacturer and dealership service procedures and policies to customers.
- Continuously seek lending institutions for competitive interest rates and finance programs, including searching for insurance companies for insurance paperwork and maintaining insurance files.
- Manage the alternative finance source program to ensure availability of several sources.
- Maintain a program designed to ensure 100 percent turnover to the F&I department.
- Provide sales staff and sales managers with current information about finance and lease programs.
- Train sales staff on the benefits of financing, insurance, and extended service programs.
- Work with sales managers to secure reasonable profit from every sale and coordinate finance forecasting with sales forecasting to achieve desired penetration and income.
- Ensure collection of all finance and insurance fees, take all credit applications, and prepare reports on finance penetration.
- Partner with the general sales manager on sales department goals and objectives and ensure they are achieved.
- Attend managers meetings and handle all rate quotations.
- Develop and monitor customer-facing guidelines to support maximum customer satisfaction.
- Maintain an adequate and current supply of required contracts and paperwork to complete and finalize car deals.
- Maintain a professional appearance and a clean, professional work environment.
