Chief Financial Officer
Job Description
Lead financial operations and drive corporate financial strategy as a senior leader in a fast-paced Los Angeles firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement financial strategies that support organizational goals, sustainable growth, and profitability.
- Oversee corporate accounting, including financial statement analysis, interpretation, and reporting under GAAP and IAS.
- Run risk analysis to surface potential financial threats and develop mitigation plans.
- Maintain compliance with SOX and ASC 606 standards, including related industry regulatory requirements.
- Manage treasury activities such as cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and investment activities to protect liquidity and financial health.
- Own revenue management efforts through market analysis, business development initiatives, and revenue cycle management to maximize income streams.
- Prepare internal and regulatory financial reporting with accuracy and timely delivery.
- Lead Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), including opportunity evaluation, due diligence, and financial integration of new entities.
- Direct budgeting, cost control, expense management, and financial projection model development to support strategic planning.
- Manage finance team operations, including accounting systems supervision, payroll management, and cost management, with compliance aligned to COSO.
- Partner with executive leadership on corporate strategy, fundraising for business expansion, and long-term financial forecasting analysis.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in senior finance or finance directorship roles, including corporate finance and industry-specific financial regulations.
- Strong background in financial analysis, financial report writing, and interpretation of complex financial statements.
- Technical accounting capability, including tax accounting and cost accounting.
- Demonstrated leadership managing finance teams, including supervision of budgeting, expense control, payroll management, and strategic planning.
- Deep understanding of GAAP and IAS, with familiarity with SOX compliance requirements.
- Comfort working with advanced financial software systems for reporting, analysis, forecasting model development, and risk management tools.
- Strong negotiation skills and business analysis to support negotiations tied to M&A or other strategic initiatives.
- Advanced analytical ability to build comprehensive financial models for forecasting performance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA or CFA preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Law firm experience: 3 years (preferred).
- Experience working in a large organization environment, with understanding of boutique office pace and mindset.

Compensation
- Salary: USD 111,000 - 135,000 per year
- Pay: $111,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
