Job Description

Prism Vision Group is expanding its financial leadership to support a newly acquired physician practice platform. The Director of Financial Planning and Analysis will lead the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for this division, with a strong focus on integration planning, synergy tracking, and financial storytelling for executive leadership. This onsite role is based in New Providence, NJ, with a salary range of USD 120,000 to 180,000 per year and requires a bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of five years in finance.

Overview

The Director, FP&A reports to the SVP, FP&A and plays a pivotal role as a core member of the growing FP&A team. The position serves as a primary business partner to executive leadership, operations leaders, physician leaders, and integration teams. A central responsibility is acting as the finance lead for integrating a large newly acquired physician practice platform, covering operational integration planning, synergy tracking, reporting standardization, and post‑acquisition activities.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the main financial liaison for the newly acquired division, coordinating integration activities with Operations and Integrations teams to execute the integration plan.
  • Develop and monitor integration financial models, set synergy targets, and track post‑acquisition performance metrics.
  • Standardize reporting structures, charts of accounts, budgeting methodologies, and financial processes across organizations.
  • Identify operational and financial risks related to the integration and devise mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages, variance analyses, KPI dashboards, and executive presentations for the newly acquired division.
  • Lead annual budgeting, long‑range planning, and rolling forecast processes for the division, and assist these processes across all practice locations.
  • Analyze trends in revenue cycle, provider productivity, staffing, labor costs, payer mix, and practice profitability.
  • Partner with operations leaders to identify opportunities for margin improvement, cost optimization, and productivity gains.
  • Drive improvements in financial reporting automation, data integrity, and business intelligence capabilities.
  • Support the build‑out of budgeting and planning software, including Workday Adaptive Planning.
  • Collaborate with physician leaders and operators on capital planning and return‑on‑investment analyses for new locations, service expansions, and technology investments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive finance experience, including FP&A leadership experience.
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems proactively.
  • Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
  • Strong understanding of physician practice operations, provider productivity metrics, and healthcare reimbursement models.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Ability to extract and analyze large datasets to develop insights informing business trends and processes.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence executive stakeholders.
