Director of Finance

Lead the finance and controllership function for Kindeva’s Lexington Nasal business as a key member of the site leadership team, driving performance across planning, close, and decision support.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the site finance and accounting team, overseeing account reconciliations, US GAAP month-end close, inventory and cost accounting, and related compliance activities
• Ensure adherence to Kindeva corporate finance and accounting processes and controls; provide feedback and recommendations to improve policies and procedures
• Partner with the Lexington site leadership team to support the Nasal business through daily and weekly operating rhythms
• Provide finance leadership for hiring, quality, purchasing, planning, production, and broader business priorities
• Collaborate with FP&A, Business Development, and Client Relations to pursue new business opportunities using cost and capacity models
• Support customer proposals through pricing strategy and margin analysis
• Deliver forward-looking site financial insight across COGS, gross margin, working capital, cash, and balance sheet performance, and drive actions to improve results
• Using standard templates, prepare site P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, KPIs, site scorecards, and department spending analysis; provide financial commentary on variances to budget and forecast
• Analyze material, labor, and overhead variances vs. budget and forecast, including monthly and quarterly commentary on the financial P&L
• Lead financial evaluation for capital investments, growth initiatives, and cost improvement projects, including ROI analysis to prioritize profitability and long-term site performance actions
• Own and drive site budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning in partnership with senior leadership and the S&OP process
• Own the annual standard cost update and provide cost, pricing, and margin analysis to commercial and site leaders to improve visibility into product and customer profitability
• Lead all plant controllership activities, including internal controls, balance sheet integrity, inventory accounting, fixed assets, audit readiness, and compliance with US GAAP and company policies

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business; MBA or MAcc preferred
• CPA or CMA is a plus
• 12+ years of progressive experience in cost accounting, general accounting, finance, or plant/site finance leadership roles
• 5+ years leading a finance or accounting function, preferably as a plant controller, site finance leader, or finance director in complex manufacturing
• 5+ years of finance experience in a manufacturing environment; pharmaceutical, CDMO, or other regulated manufacturing experience strongly preferred
• Experience partnering with operations and commercial teams on pricing, margin, and growth decisions is highly desirable
• Comprehensive understanding of cost accounting and inventory valuation under US GAAP
• Financial modeling for revenue generating and capital projects
• Budgeting and forecasting experience
• ERP experience in manufacturing, with Microsoft Dynamics preferred
• SOX and financial controls implementation experience
• Advanced Excel and knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
• FAR-31 and CAS Compliance knowledge is a plus
