Director of Financial Services

Purpose Automotive Inc. is seeking a Director of Financial Services to lead end-to-end financial operations and ensure accurate, compliant reporting in a remote role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee comprehensive financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and fiscal management aligned to organizational goals
• Build and implement financial models and projection tools to support strategic planning and decision-making
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory frameworks, including GAAP, IFRS, IAS, and relevant governmental accounting standards
• Manage corporate accounting activities such as general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable/receivable, cost accounting, and cash flow analysis
• Drive risk analysis to identify financial threats and oversee risk management practices across financial activities
• Oversee preparation of financial reports, financial statements, and regulatory filings; interpret complex financial data for executive decision-making
• Lead treasury management, investment oversight, and revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606
• Improve reporting accuracy and efficiency by integrating data analytics tools
• Collaborate cross-functionally on business development initiatives, accounting and compliance updates, and strategic growth opportunities
• Manage a finance team through leadership development, performance management, and a culture focused on excellence in financial practices

Requirements

• Extensive experience in finance or accounting roles with proven leadership as a finance director or senior managerial position in a complex organization
• Deep knowledge of financial regulations, including GAAP, IFRS, IAS, and governmental accounting standards
• Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
• Proficiency with accounting systems, ERP software, Excel data analysis tools, and other financial software platforms
• Strong understanding of risk management principles related to financial markets and operational risks
• Experience leading large teams in fast-paced environments while maintaining high accuracy and compliance standards
• Ability to develop advanced financial models for projections and scenario analysis supporting long-term strategy
• Excellent communication skills for preparing comprehensive financial reports and explaining complex data to diverse audiences
