Finance Analyst – Accounting, Billing & Compliance

Odesso, Inc. is looking for an early-career Finance Analyst – Accounting, Billing & Compliance to help drive the company’s day-to-day financial operations. Based in Phoenix, AZ (onsite), this role supports recurring reporting, accounts payable and receivable workflows, reconciliations, and the accuracy of finance data while partnering with leadership across finance administration and contract-related obligations.

This position sits close to the CFO organization and is structured to develop toward a Finance Manager path. You will help maintain financial records, surface discrepancies for resolution, and improve how Odesso runs its finance function over time.

What you’ll do

• Maintain and update daily, weekly, and monthly financial reporting.
• Own accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, vendor records, and payment schedules.
• Manage customer billing and invoicing while maintaining accurate billing records.
• Maintain the accounts receivable tracker, follow up on outstanding invoices, and report AR status to management.
• Perform bank, credit-card, billing, and general financial reconciliations.
• Maintain supporting schedules for revenue, expenses, payroll, and cash-flow reporting.
• Help prepare monthly management financial packages and operating reports.
• Identify discrepancies and independently work through them to resolution.
• Build and maintain Excel/Google Sheets models, dashboards, and automated reporting workflows.
• Use automation and AI tools to reduce manual finance work and improve reporting accuracy.
• Maintain organized financial documentation and audit trails.
• Support basic financial controls, compliance requests, insurance documentation, tax support, and audit preparation.
• Track contracts, renewal dates, payment terms, and related financial obligations.
• Assist with customer and vendor contracts from a financial and administrative perspective.
• Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash planning, and financial analysis.
• Present financial information clearly to executives and other stakeholders.
• Continuously improve processes across Odesso’s finance function.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a closely related field.
• About 0–2 years of professional experience (strong recent graduates are encouraged).
• Strong skills in Excel and/or Google Sheets.
• Excellent numerical reasoning and attention to detail.
• Comfort investigating inconsistencies instead of only reporting them.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to confidently present financial information and explain what the numbers mean.
• Highly organized with strong follow-through; comfortable managing multiple deadlines and workstreams.
• Strong interpersonal judgment and professionalism with customers, vendors, and executives.
• Self-starter mindset with ownership of what needs to be done.
• Comfort working in a growing company where processes are still being built.
• Must be able to work onsite in Phoenix.

Compensation and education

• Salary: USD 50,000–55,000 per year

Preferred qualifications

• Internship or early-career experience in finance, accounting, audit, FP&A, banking, or corporate accounting.
• CPA-track coursework or CPA eligibility.
• CMA candidate or related accounting/finance certification.
• FMVA or similar financial-analysis training.
