Finance & Operations Director

Hands-on, in-person leadership role serving as the firm’s primary financial leader in the Waxhaw, NC office. This full-time position provides day-to-day ownership of finance and accounting operations, with close partnership across operational teams. Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the firm’s day-to-day financial and accounting functions, including reporting and oversight of core finance activities.
• Manage accounts payable to ensure expenses are processed accurately and paid on time.
• Perform and review bank reconciliations.
• Support the Facilities function in opening new offices.
• Oversee payroll and benefits administration.
• Monitor financial activity and identify unusual or unexpected activity.
• Coordinate with the firm’s CPA and other outside financial professionals.
• Support firm administrative positions, including Facilities and Human Resources.
• Demonstrate managerial experience leading teams in alignment with the firm’s core values.

Requirements

• 3-5+ years experience with small to mid-size businesses (required).
• Knowledge of EOS.
• Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• Experience negotiating leases and opening new office locations.
• Experience developing SOPs, internal controls, and process documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field (preferred).
• Previous experience in a law firm setting (preferred).

• Compensation: $70,000 - $85,000 per year
