Patient Financial Advocacy Coordinator

Remote patient financial advocacy role supporting patients and families in accessing pharmacy co-pay resources and assistance programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients and/or families in accessing financial resources for pharmacy co-pays
• Support patients who may qualify for assistance through nonprofit organizations and manufacturer programs
• Navigate available resources to match options to the patient’s needs
• Explain the application process, help complete applications, and review required documentation
• Provide first-call resolution to help patients and families secure financial assistance for pharmacy co-pays
• Maintain working knowledge of health insurance, pharmacy benefit coverage, and how cancer diagnoses and cancer drugs factor into treatment
• Support applications for nonprofit and manufacturer assistance programs
• Provide clear explanations of insurance benefits and co-pay structures
• Maintain accurate patient demographic and insurance data in CPR+
• Collaborate with pharmacy operations and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of patient assistance or advocacy experience
• Registration with Board of Pharmacy (as required by state law)
• Strong skills in communication, organization, and customer service

Preferred

• Associate degree or Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB)
• 3+ years of patient assistance or advocacy experience
• Specialty pharmacy experience

Compensation and Schedule

• Location: Waltham, MA (remote)
• Pay: USD 25 per hour
• Schedule: Full-Time, Mon - Fri 11:30am to 8pm EST
• Salary starting at: $25.00/hr and up
