Senior Finance Manager – Commercial Finance

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Senior Finance Manager to lead the Commercial Finance function within the Customer Channels Group in Pittsburgh. In this role, you will oversee a team of finance analysts to support the Commercial organization in contracts execution and customer relationship strengthening, with a focus on profitability, planning, and data-driven decision support to drive profitable growth. The position emphasizes collaboration with senior leaders and a hands-on approach to shaping financial outcomes across the business.

Responsibilities

• Oversee profitability analysis for business proposals, delivering financial oversight and securing cross-functional alignment
• Manage end-to-end contract lifecycle, covering implementation, compliance, and yearly pricing updates
• Support planning and forecasting activities through financial modeling and performance analysis
• Produce actionable insights via ad hoc analyses and strategic finance initiatives
• Build and grow a high-performing, diverse finance team aligned with the company’s culture and values
• Deliver financial control, analysis, and decision support for the Industrial segment
• Collaborate with senior leadership to influence business decisions through clear data-driven communication

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Advanced degree or certification preferred (MBA, MS, CPA)
• Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant work experience
• Prior experience in a large global and highly matrixed organization preferred
• Demonstrated business partnership and ability to provide strategic support to senior business leaders
