Talent Manager (Finance & Accounting)
Job Description
Robert Half is hiring a Talent Manager (Finance & Accounting) in New York, NY with an onsite work setup in the NY Midtown New York area. In this role, you will support the firm’s growth by building relationships with clients, recruiting and placing qualified professionals, and maintaining clear, ongoing communication with both clients and candidates.
You will negotiate and develop business opportunities across accounting and finance, while also matching specialized talent to client needs. The position combines business development, recruitment coordination, and engagement management to help deliver strong service outcomes for clients and candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiate and develop business with new and current clients.
- Market services through telephone and video, and by conducting in-person meetings with hiring managers and decision-makers in accounting and finance departments.
- Recruit, interview, and match highly skilled accounting and finance professionals to clients’ project needs, contract assignments, and contract to full-time opportunities.
- Manage ongoing engagements to deliver outstanding customer service to both clients and candidates.
- Provide ongoing communication and career guidance to candidates throughout the placement process.
- Participate in local trade association and networking events to increase Robert Half’s presence in the local business community.
Qualifications
- Accounting/Finance/Business Administration degree preferred.
- 1+ years of finance, accounting, or banking experience preferred.
- 2+ years’ experience with business development in a metrics-driven environment.
- At least one experience demonstrating success developing new business in a multi-call, multi-decision maker environment.
- Prior success marketing to and closing top-level decision makers at small/medium-sized businesses, with an ability to cultivate mutually beneficial long-term relationships.
- Working knowledge of Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), and at least one contact management application (Salesforce).
- Knowledge and familiarity with accounting and finance department operations.
- Positive attitude with an engaging, businesslike approach.

Compensation and Benefits
- Typical salary range: $66,300 to $72,000 per year.
- Salary is negotiable based on experience and location.
- Eligible for a bonus based on achievement of performance objectives.
