Job Description
Corston Architectural Detail is seeking a US Finance Manager to lead financial operations across the Americas from our on-site office in Hanover Park, IL. This role emphasizes managing day-to-day finance activities, preparing management accounts, and ensuring strict adherence to US GAAP and group policies while driving process improvements. The position offers a yearly salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts in line with Group policies, procedures, and reporting deadlines.
- Manage day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, company card transactions, and payroll.
- Prepare and post accurate month-end journal entries and complete balance sheet reconciliations in a timely manner.
- Ensure appropriate revenue and expense recognition in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Prepare and reconcile sales tax returns and ensure compliance with relevant federal and state tax requirements.
- Monitor cash balances and prepare regular cash flow forecasts.
- Ensure all finance and accounting activities comply with US GAAP, Group policies, and all applicable federal and state legislation.
- Coordinate year-end financial close activities and support external audit requirements by preparing schedules and responding to audit queries.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial controls, streamline processes, and enhance the efficiency of finance operations.
- Provide financial analysis and operational support to the Global Head of Sales & Strategic Projects, in addition to regular reporting to the Group Finance Director.
- Liaise with the third-party payroll provider to ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and other financial planning activities as required.
- Undertake other ad hoc finance and business support duties as required.
- Travel internationally for training and domestically as required by the business.
Requirements
- US GAAP knowledge.
- NetSuite experience is preferred but not essential.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
