You will lead financial reporting, payroll processing, compliance, and process improvements while supervising the Accounting Coordinator and coordinating with leadership.

What you'll do

  • Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accurate and consistent records. Own the monthly close and deliver leadership-ready financial statements such as the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow analyses.
  • Monitor liquidity, track receivables and payables, and support collections with the office team. Provide clear visibility into financial performance and proactively identify risks or opportunities.
  • Partner with HR to run bi-weekly payroll through a third-party system, ensuring accurate wages, deductions, garnishments, and benefits. Support the transition to and ongoing management of an electronic HRIS system.
  • Coordinate with the external accounting team on annual tax filings. Independently manage monthly and quarterly filings, including meals and sales tax, monthly dairy pool reporting, and eligible tax credit submissions, ensuring deadlines are met.
