Job Description
This onsite, full-time automotive finance management role in Paterson, NJ with Imports auto sales offers a salary range of USD 52,845 - 200,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Explain terms, rates, and payment plans clearly to help customers choose appropriate financing options.
- Design and negotiate auto loan agreements that balance favorable terms for buyers and the dealership while maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Enter and review loan applications using lending software, verify credit, income, and supporting documents.
- Stay current on automotive financing regulations, including TILA and title processing, plus dealer compliance requirements.
- Coordinate with lenders to secure timely funding approvals.
- Promote automotive insurance, extended warranties, and other financial services to enhance satisfaction and revenue.
- Ensure all transactions comply with federal and state financial regulations, including credit analysis standards and loan processing protocols.
- Deliver excellent service to build strong customer relationships from application through contract signing.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations affecting auto loans and dealership operations to ensure ongoing compliance.
Requirements
- Experience as a loan officer or finance manager in automotive or related financial services.
- Solid understanding of automotive industry regulations, including TILA, title processing, and dealership compliance standards.
- Strong customer relationship management skills with emphasis on delivering outstanding service.
- Proven ability to structure deals and negotiate terms that benefit all parties.
- Proficiency with financial software used for loan processing and credit analysis.
- Accurate data entry and basic math skills, including 10-key typing.
- Knowledge of credit analysis procedures to assess borrower eligibility.
- Familiarity with automotive financing products such as loans, leases, warranties, and insurance options.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
