Corporate Finance Accountant

WEST Inc offers a full-time on-site Corporate Finance Accountant role that blends accounting operations, financial reporting, and cross-functional collaboration to support meaningful environmental work. This position is based onsite in Cheyenne, WY, with opportunities to contribute across multiple offices, including Fort Collins, CO and Laramie, WY. The role carries a salary range of $70,000 to $80,000 per year, plus potential annual profit-sharing bonus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cash management and related reporting
• Prepare general journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Support state tax filings
• Participate in month-end close procedures
• Participate in year-end close procedures
• Provide day-to-day operational support
• Handle project and grant reporting
• Manage fixed asset records
• Calculate overhead and indirect rates
• Assist the Finance Manager, Finance Director, and CFO with compliance audits
• Perform quality control activities across accounting functions
• Train employees in job duties, company policies, and Deltek Vantagepoint software
• Contribute to establishing accounting policies and procedures
• Participate in regular meetings to communicate status and project updates

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Three or more years of accounting experience
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills
• Clear oral and written communication, with the ability to explain accounting information to both finance and non-finance colleagues
• Highly collaborative work ethic with a track record of positive relationships with coworkers, clients, and stakeholders
• Experience with Deltek Vantagepoint is a plus
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately while meeting deadlines
• Ability to reliably meet work expectations, follow instructions from managers, and accept guidance and constructive feedback
