E-Commerce Finance & Accounting Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented E-Commerce Finance & Accounting Manager to lead the financial operations across multiple online channels. The role oversees accounting, marketplace reconciliations, financial reporting, profitability analysis, cash flow management, and operational finance for platforms including Amazon, Walmart Marketplace, TikTok Shop, Shopify, and other online retail channels, managing several smaller entities under the corporate umbrella.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain accurate financial statements and management reports on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly cadence.
• Assess performance across marketplace channels, evaluating profitability, contribution margins, and operating expenses.
• Create forecasts, budgeting models, and cash flow projections to guide decision making.
• Track advertising spend, marketplace fees, reimbursements, refunds, chargebacks, and profitability at the SKU level.
• Deliver actionable financial insights to leadership to improve operational performance and margins.
• Develop and sustain KPI dashboards covering revenue, profitability, inventory velocity, and channel performance.
• Oversee the full marketplace reconciliation lifecycle across Amazon, Walmart, TikTok Shop, Shopify and other platforms.
• Reconcile settlements, payment disbursements, reserve balances, and discrepancies.
• Ensure proper accounting for sales, cost of goods sold, inventory movements, fees, reimbursements, returns, and deductions.
• Investigate variances, missing reimbursements, and operational discrepancies.
• Maintain precise financial records and support month-end and year-end closings.
• Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Administer bookkeeping and ERP/accounting systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or similar platforms.
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax professionals as needed.
• Support sales tax compliance, audits, and regulatory reporting.
• Maintain compliance of financial records with applicable standards and internal policies.
• Monitor inventory valuation, landed costs, and related financial reporting.
• Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to optimize inventory planning and purchasing decisions.
• Track inventory performance, aged stock exposure, and profitability by SKU or marketplace.
• Support operational planning through forecasting and data-driven financial analysis.
• Analyze efficiencies and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
• Develop and refine financial SOPs, controls, and workflows.
• Identify automation opportunities for reconciliation, reporting, and financial analysis.
• Implement financial reporting tools, dashboards, and process improvements to enable scaling.
• Maintain robust internal controls and financial accuracy across all marketplace activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience in eCommerce finance, marketplace accounting, or financial operations.
• Strong understanding of Amazon Seller Central, Walmart Marketplace, Shopify, TikTok Shop, and marketplace payout structures.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or ERP platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Compensation and location

Salary: $101,000 - $130,000 per year. This onsite role is based in Suwanee, GA.
